Chinese Fresh Lumpia

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 kilo ground pork
dash of soy sauce and sugar
1 piece tokwa, diced
1/4 kilo carrots, shredded
1/4 kilo Baguio Beans, shredded
1/4 kilo cabbage, shredded
1/4 kilo sayote, shredded
1/4 kilo togue, cleaned

lumpia wrapper
native lettuce, washed
1/4 cup ground peanuts combined with 2 cups sugar
Sauce:
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 cups broth
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon cornstarch dispersed in water
4 cloves garlic, crushed

Directions:

Heat oil in a skillet then sauté garlic and ground pork. Season with some soy sauce and sugar. Add tokwa and the vegetables. Simmer until done. Season to taste.

Prepare the Sauce:
Blend first 4 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil then thicken with dispersed cornstarch. Add garlic.

On every lumpia wrapper, place a lettuce leaf. Top with 2-3 tablespoon of filling, some sauce and ground peanuts. Roll up leaving one and open. Serve with more sauce and peanuts.
