Romance
is not a complicated topic that only a few hopeless romantics understand. Being
Romantic can be as easy as saying I love you a little bit more and helping out a
little more around the house. The point to romance is to make that other person
feel special. Romance doesn't take a great deal of time either. Here are some
ideas that can help add some spice to your relationships.
·
For
instance leave a cute note around the house or e-mail telling that special
person how much you love them and enjoy being around them.
·
Every
so often stop and pick up some thing that person loves (i.e. candy, flowers, or
maybe just a box of hot fresh donuts). The price does not have to be expensive.
It is just a token that you are thinking of your loved one.
·
Listen
to what that special person is saying, i.e. throw the TV out the window.
Listening is one of the most crucial aspects of any relationship. However, if
you are the one needing to be heard don't automatically interrupt the other
person if they are in the middle of something they enjoy. Just say, “when you
are finished, I would like to talk to you” and your results will be greatly
improved.
·
Go
out to dinner more often. This gives you time to talk more than if you were at
home having to cook and clean up. When you go out dress up sometimes and remind
your loved one of the person they fell in love with.
·
Touch
is another important factor in relationships. We all long for touch and to be
held by someone. When out in public hold hands like you did when first started
dating.
·
Every
so often change the routine by getting away for the weekend, and if don't have
the money then just get away for the day. Preferably, find a place to stay that
has a private spa. A bed & breakfast makes a nice getaway. This keeps things
from becoming stagnate.
·
Go
dancing and if you don't know how take lessons together. Not only is good
exercise, but it will put an extra step in your relationship.
·
Rent
a romantic movie, pop some popcorn, and cuddle up on the couch with blankets.
·
Take
a walk together in the park or maybe a hike in the woods. This will really get
your heart pumping. It's fun to just look at nature together without talking
about bills and mortgages.
·
Buy
some massage oils and give each other a massage. Everyone needs a good message
after a long stressful day at work.
·
Make
a relaxing bubble bath for that special person with Lavender bath salts, rose
petals, and scented candles.
·
If
your significant other is away from you during Valentine's Day, try sending them
a package of things that they like. Try a package with homemade cookies, all
kinds of candies, and other things that you know they'll like. Even if that
person is near you, you can surprise them with a package at work or something
like that.
